Job summary

Dakota Hotels is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Team. You will run at least two sections and prepare dishes to the Head Chef’s specifications across à la carte, room service, breakfast, and events.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ professional cooking experience, be a team player, and demonstrate strong knife skills, food safety training, and a positive attitude. We offer a supportive development culture, staff dining, discounts, and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years professional cooking experience in a full-service restaurant as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef.
• Experience and ability to carry out food preparation of fish and meats.
• Demonstrate a passion for quality food and preparation.
• Be hardworking and a team-player.
• Previous qualifications in Food Safety preferred; training in Health & Safety, Allergens, and Food Hygiene provided.

Responsibilities

• Run at least two different kitchen sections during a busy service.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to Head Chef specifications across menus (à la carte, room service, breakfast, bar food, events).
• Carry out prep work across kitchen sections and maintain excellent knife skills.
• Multi-task through busy service times and ensure clean down of the kitchen.
• Maintain an immaculate working environment and communicate effectively with kitchen and front of house teams.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and promote a positive culture across the kitchen.
