Job summary

WP Recruitment is seeking a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to lead surveying commissions across commercial, residential, and public sector assets on the Isle of Wight.

The role involves preparing reports, specifications and schedules of work; undertaking condition surveys and compliance reviews; acting as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent; and supporting project delivery from feasibility to completion.

Qualifications

• MRICS status required.
• Strong knowledge of construction technology and building pathology.
• Experience delivering contract administration and project work.
• Excellent report-writing and client-facing skills.
• Commercial awareness and practical problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead building surveying commissions across commercial, residential and public sector assets.
• Prepare professional reports, specifications and schedules of work.
• Undertake condition surveys, defect analysis and compliance reviews.
• Act as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent on a range of projects.
• Support project delivery from feasibility through to completion.
• Provide technical oversight and peer review for less experienced colleagues.
• Contribute to the development of standards, templates and quality systems.
• Work collaboratively with designers, project managers, quantity surveyors and asset specialists.
