Job summary

Gateley Smithers Purslow, part of Gateley Built Environment, seeks a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to lead projects within your authority and provide mentorship to a team in Guildford. Qualifications

• MRICS qualification and extensive experience in consulting engineering, surveying, architectural and planning practices.
• Proven leadership and team mentoring experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and budgets on large projects.
• Sound understanding of health and safety, CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and advise on design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of buildings and sites.
• Day-to-day management of assigned team members.
• Mentoring support for APC candidates and junior staff.
• Prepare reports, schedules of works and specifications.
• Oversee works using current contracts and technical standards.
• Undertake large value projects independently with broad consultancy knowledge.
• Promote Gateley Smithers Purslow services to secure projects.
