Job summary

WP Recruitment seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support cost planning, budgeting and procurement for construction projects on the Isle of Wight. You will prepare bills of quantities, tender documents and assist with contractor appointments, valuations and cost reporting.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, strong numerical/analytical skills, and excellent communication. Permanent, 39 hours/week, Monday to Friday, on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Willingness to progress to chartered status.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist cost planning, budgeting for construction and maintenance projects.
• Prepare bills of quantities, schedules of work, tender documents and contract information.
• Support procurement processes, tender analysis and contractor appointments.
• Assist contract administration, including valuations, variations and cost reporting.
• Monitor project expenditure and identify cost risks and value-for-money opportunities.
• Contribute to final account preparation and project close-out activities.
• Work with surveyors, project managers and design colleagues to support delivery.
• Prepare clear reports for clients and internal teams.
