Job summary

Booth Welsh Ltd is supporting a Somerset client to recruit an experienced CDM Advisor for a site-based contract. The role focuses on CDM compliance, PCI preparation, and Health and Safety File management across design and construction.

You will coordinate with Designers, the Principal Contractor and Client, ensuring timely delivery of risk registers and tender documentation. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CDM Advisor on large projects.
• Familiarity with PCI (Pre-Construction Information) and Health and Safety File processes.
• Strong coordinating abilities with Designers, Principal Contractor and Client.

Responsibilities

• Regularly monitor, measure, analyse and review performance in implementing the CDM requirements.
• Assemble Master Design Risk Register from DRRs and PCI inputs.
• Provide PCI from Client/Designers to appropriate parties.
• Confirm PCI arrangements with Client and Designers.
• Prepare and update PCI for Tender Invitations.
• Agree Health and Safety File format with the Programme Manager.
• Explain Health and Safety File expectations to Designers and Contractors.
• Review Health and Safety File content after tenders and design changes.
• Open Health and Safety File at start of each package and schedule delivery with Designers/Contractors.
• Update Health and Safety File as design progresses and construction advances.
• Assess Designers for hazard elimination and residual risks; ensure Design Risk Register is included in tender.
• Monitor design changes and ensure timely close-out for health and safety.
• Review schedules with designers and ensure temporary works are considered.
