Job summary

British Resourcing Group is seeking an experienced CDM Advisor (Principal Designer experience) for its Colchester-based Health & Safety team. The role involves advising clients, coordinating CDM duties, and supporting pre-construction safety across UK projects.

You will act as CDM Principal Advisor and Designer where appointed, traveling across the UK to ensure compliance and safe project delivery. Hybrid working options and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a CDM or construction health and safety role.
• Experience of providing a CDM Principal Designer service.
• Sound knowledge of legislation relevant to construction.
• NEBOSH General and Construction qualifications.
• Membership of AaPS or IOSH.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on duties under CDM 2015 and health and safety legislation.
• Act as CDM Principal Advisor and Principal Designer where appointed.
• Coordinate health and safety measures through pre-construction and across project stages.
• Prepare and manage project documentation and communication channels.
• Develop strategies for the flow of health and safety information throughout projects.
• Liaise with designers, clients and contractors to address safety risks.
• Promote consistency and best practice within the health and safety team.
• Support business development, bid submissions and CDM audits when required.
