Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to coordinate holistic care for residents living in a care home setting. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure delivery of person-centred services, including care planning, dementia care and multi-disciplinary liaison.

The role requires substantial experience in elder care, a Care Certificate with Level 3 Diploma in Care, and willingness to guide and supervise staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold Care Certificate Qualification and Level 3 Diploma in Care qualification.
• Experience in the care of older people, including those living with dementia, is essential.
• Commitment to personal and professional development and upskilling opportunities.
• Previous managerial experience in residential care would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate provision of holistic care and support to meet residents' physical and psychological needs.
• Liaise with GPs, social workers and other agencies on admissions, transfers and reviews.
• Monitor and develop care plans, ensuring quality and governance standards are met.
• Assist in staff supervision, training, recruitment and allocation of duties.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and maintain accurate records.
