Job summary

HICA in Grimsby is seeking a Senior Homecare Worker to join a supportive team delivering high-quality community care. You will support Service Users, mentor colleagues, respond to urgent care needs, and help maintain the highest standards of care every day.

You'll receive paid training, access to NVQ qualifications, and opportunities for career progression within a not-for-profit organisation. A Full UK driving license and vehicle access are required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in care with ability to administer medication.
• Demonstrates commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.
• Calm, adaptable and able to work under pressure.
• Well organised with strong communication skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
• Supportive team player with leadership potential.
• Holds a Full UK Driving Licence and has access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality person-centred care to Service Users.
• Respond to emergency callouts and provide additional support as needed.
• Mentor and supervise Homecare Workers.
• Carry out competency checks and medication assessments.
• Support and guide new starters during induction.
• Build positive relationships with Service Users and families.
• Complete care plans, reviews and risk assessments.
• Promote independence and connect individuals with community services.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure policy compliance.
• Liaise with management, healthcare professionals and families.

• Contract: 40 hours per week
• Day Shifts: 8:00am to 8:00pm
• Night Shifts: 11:00pm to 6:00am

• In possession of a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
