Job summary

Bupa's Richmond Village Willaston in Crewe Road, CW5 6GX is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to deliver person-centred care, supporting independence and choice for residents in a luxury retirement setting.

The role includes a thorough induction, ongoing training and development, DBS check funded by Bupa, and shift patterns from 08:00 to 20:00 with weekends on rota. Competitive benefits are included.

• Collaborate with the senior care assistant to monitor residents and report changes.
• Communicate with residents’ families and other healthcare professionals.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll help us make health happen by:

• Assisting residents with a high standard of clinical, social and emotional care.


• Recognising and meeting the specific needs of residents.


• Answer emergency bells or calls from residents, to assess the situation, to deal with resident seeking help and summon the senior care staff whenever necessary.


• Assist residents who need help with the activities of daily living; including meal preparation, washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene as documented in their care plan.


• Help residents with mobility problems, including transferring residents using appropriate equipment and other physical disabilities, help with use and care of aids and personal equipment.


• Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.


• Being part of a team supporting the senior care assistant in monitoring our residents and reporting changes.


• Communicating with residents’ families, friends and other healthcare professional.

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
