Job summary

Richmond Village, Willaston, part of the Bupa group, seeks a Senior Care Assistant to lead a unit and oversee clinical duties including medication administration and care-plan reviews. You’ll manage a team of care staff, oversee shift handovers and support new staff with training.

The role requires DBS clearance and NVQ3 in care, with a thorough induction and ongoing development, including access to our online learning portal.

Qualifications

We’re more than happy to support you in the completion of your qualification if needed. This also includes access to our online portal which has a variety of resources to aid personal development & free access LinkedIn's online learning platform.

Your responsibilities
  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
  • Responsible for all clinical duties issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping
  • Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers of the teams
  • Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
  • Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
