Job summary

Bupa in Richmond Village is seeking a Senior Domiciliary Care Assistant to support with care duties and administration under the Head of Domiciliary Care. You will contribute to a person-centred service, delivering compassionate, dignified care in a retirement village setting.

The role emphasises teamwork, confidentiality, and adherence to CQC standards, with DBS check arranged and paid by the company. Part-time shift patterns apply.

  • Experience in a care or dementia setting or hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Passionate about caring for others, respecting choices and safety.
  • Great listener with confident communication to residents and families; confidentiality is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support with administrative and hands-on care duties alongside the Head of Domiciliary Care.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Domiciliary Care and other team members.
  • Ensure tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communicate effectively with residents’ families and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with CQC standards.

Salary: £14.10 per hour & Paid Breaks

Contract: Permanent - No Travel

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • As a Senior Domiciliary Care Assistant at a Richmond Village, you will work alongside Head of Domiciliary Care in supporting with administrative and hands-on care duties.
  • Team Player: Collaboration with the Head of Domiciliary Care and other team members is crucial.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly
  • Communication Skills: Effective and polite communication with residents’ families, friends and other healthcare professionals.
  • Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information with discretion
  • CQC Regulations: Knowledge of Care Quality Commission standards is required.
  • IT Literacy: Comfort with using technology and software.
  • Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • You have experience of working in a care or dementia setting or you may have a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), but above all, you’ll be passionate about caring for others, respecting people’s choices and always putting their safety and welfare first.
  • A great listener with a positive outlook, you’re confident talking to both residents and their families and understand that confidentiality is very important in what we do.
  • Always ready to lead by example and support the wider team, you’ll deliver care with dignity and compassion and work to put a smile on our residents’ faces every day.
