Job summary

Richmond Villages in Aston-on-Trent, Derby (DE72 2EA) is hiring a Care Assistant to join our team on nights (19:00–07:00) with permanent opportunities for full- or part-time hours. You will deliver high-quality clinical, social and emotional care, assist with daily living activities, and support independence in a resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care or health sector preferred.
  • DBS check required and paid by employer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities including meals, washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene.
  • Provide high standard of clinical, social and emotional care.
  • Respond to emergency bells and notify senior staff as needed.
  • Support residents with mobility and independence.
  • Communicate with residents' families and healthcare professionals.

You'll Help Us Make Health Happen By
  • Assisting residents with a high standard of clinical, social and emotional care. Recognising and meeting the specific needs of residents
  • Answer emergency bells or calls from residents, to assess the situation, to deal with resident seeking help and summon the senior care staff whenever necessary.
  • Assist residents who need help with the activities of daily living; including meal preparation, washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene as documented in their care plan.
  • Help residents with mobility problems, including transferring residents using appropriate equipment and other physical disabilities, help with use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care
  • Being part of a team supporting the senior care assistant in monitoring our residents and reporting changes
  • Communicating with residents' families, friends and other healthcare professional
  • Because we care for vulnerable people, we'll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
