Job summary

Greensleeves Care is a respected charity delivering 24‑hour residential, dementia and nursing care to older people across 26 care homes in England. We are an accredited Living Wage employer and partner with Skills for Care, offering free learning and development to colleagues.

As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights), you will support residents with personal care, assist mobility, and perform regular checks with attention to fire safety and privacy.

Qualifications

• QCF diploma in social care level 2 or equivalent (Essential)
• Proven ability and experience in safe administration of medication (Essential)
• Understanding of confidentiality (Essential)
• Experience in providing care (Essential)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• Carry out regular checks on residents and the building with emphasis on fire prevention and privacy.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and use of aids and equipment.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, including incontinence.
• Be aware of residents' whereabouts when they are not in their bedroom.

As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights),you will:

• Assist residents with their personal care needs.
• In conjunction with the Night Care Assistant, carry out regular checks on residents and on the building with special reference to fire prevention at intervals determined by the Manager and with due regard to residents’ privacy.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene, e.g. incontinence.
• Be aware of residents' whereabouts if absent from their bedroom.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 2 or other relevant qualification (Essential)
• Proven ability and experience in the safe administration of Medication(Essential)
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality(Essential)
• Experience in providing care(Essential)
