Job summary

Avery Healthcare’s Seagrave House Care Home in Corby is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant - Nights to join our close-knit team. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, monitor wellbeing, and help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

You will be involved in person-centred care planning, assist with medication where required, undertake monthly evaluations, and act as a key contact for

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years experience in similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Flexible and responsive to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and note changes affecting care plans.
• Assist with person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication needs and document accordingly.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development where required.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health professionals; escalate concerns as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements. Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required. Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
