Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant - Nights for Acer Court Care Home in Nuthall. You will deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring and inclusive environment, supporting residents, relatives and the care team.

You will have NVQ 3 in care, at least 2 years’ experience, and strong communication skills. DBS check and UK eligibility to work are required.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Be involved in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health/social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

support

and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,

supportive

environment for residents, visitors and staff

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.

Supporting residents with their medication requirements.

Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.

Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
