Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Waterhouse Manor Care Home in Peterborough. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires an NVQ 3 in care, at least two years' experience, good communication, and flexibility to cover a range of duties. DBS check is required and eligibility to work in the UK must be proven.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication needs as required.
• Supervise staff and support their development where needed.
• Act as the main point of contact with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
