Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Seagrave House Care Home in Corby, Northamptonshire. You will deliver high-quality personal care, support the care team, and help maintain a compassionate, safe environment for residents and their families.

Responsibilities include monitoring wellbeing, contributing to monthly care plan evaluations, assisting with medications, and guiding junior staff. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in similar care environment.
  • Effective communication with residents, families and team members.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring and inclusive environment.
  • Support the care team to provide person-centred care and monitor residents’ wellbeing.
  • Assist with residents’ medication requirements as needed.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals; escalate concerns as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

  • and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidatemust:
  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.

  • Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
