Job summary

Berkley Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Bromsgrove to join a team focused on person-centred care. You’ll bring compassion, leadership and hands-on support, ensuring residents receive high-quality care while promoting a warm, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in health and social care with at least 2 years’ experience in a care assistant role.
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop and delegate to others as part of a supportive team.
• Kind, caring and compassionate with a sense of fun.
• Strong communication with residents, home team and family members.
• Experience promoting person-centred care and empowering residents to participate in decisions.

Responsibilities

• Promoting a caring and friendly environment with person-centred care and empower residents to participate in decisions.
• Administering prescribed medicines and maintaining associated records and care plans.
• Carrying out basic domestic duties and preparing light meals and refreshments.
• Planning rotas and supervising a team on shift to oversee and maintain resident care.
• Ongoing coaching, regular 1-2-1s with team members and inductions.
• Attending team meetings and being a role model for the home team.
