Job summary

Berkley Care Group is seeking an Events Assistant to plan and run engaging events and activities for residents in our care settings. This role involves organising enjoyable and inclusive experiences that brighten daily life, with driving residents to appointments and trips as needed.

You will work four days per week, 7-hour shifts, with paid breaks and a range of benefits. A valid driving license is essential to fulfil travel duties and activities across the homes.

Qualifications

  • Plan and run events and activities that are engaging and inclusive.
  • Coordinate residents' activities with care and attention to detail.
  • Capture moments in photos to promote the home.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and manage events and celebrations.
  • Collaborate with care staff to arrange activities that suit residents.
  • Assist with promoting home events to families and the local community.

About the Position

£12.90 per hour, paid breaks plus lots of great benefits!

4 days per week, 7 hour shift inclusive of alternate weekends. This role includes driving residents to appointments and trips out and therefore a valid driving license is required.

  • Patience with the ability to empower and support residents with activity choices and desired experiences
  • The ability to organise and prepare special events and celebrations, including those to promote the home
  • An ability to capture everyday life moments in photos to promote the home
  • Good communication skills with a variety of people, eg residents, their families and others in the local community?
