Job summary

Dovehaven Grove is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts in Bamber Bridge, Preston. You will lead a small team, deliver person-centred care, and ensure high standards across the night shift.

You’ll supervise colleagues, complete handovers, and support residents’ daily needs while maintaining a calm, compassionate environment. Alternative weekends and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in elderly care settings.
  • Supervisory experience within a care or nursing home.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care essential.

  • Delivering personal care with dignity and compassion.
  • Supporting residents’ emotional wellbeing and independence.
  • Managing and supporting the care team during your shift.
  • Supervising and supporting less experienced staff.
  • Ensuring care staff adhere to CQC guidelines and best practices.

33 hours OR 44hrs - 12-hour shifts - 8pm – 8am – on a rota basis – Real Living Wage (Premium pay on Care Workers)

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in helping residents feel safe, comfortable and cared for throughout the night whilst supporting the wider care team to deliver exceptional standards of care.

This includes:

Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
