Job summary

Greensleeves Care is recruiting a Senior Carer to join our 26 care homes across England. The role mainly covers night shifts and provides dedicated personal care to residents, with NVQ equivalent pay scales.

Qualifications

• QCF diploma in social care level 2 or equivalent (desirable).
• Proven ability and experience in safe administration of medication (essential).
• Understanding the importance of confidentiality (essential).
• Experience in providing care (essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• With the Night Care Assistant, carry out regular checks on residents and the building, focusing on fire prevention as directed by the Manager.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids and equipment.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, including incontinence.
• Be aware of residents' whereabouts if they are absent from their bedroom.

As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights), you will:

• Assist residents with their personal care needs.
• In conjunction with the Night Care Assistant, carry out regular checks on residents and on the building with special reference to fire prevention at intervals determined by the Manager and with due regard to residents’ privacy.
• Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
• Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene, e.g. incontinence.
• Be aware of residents' whereabouts if absent from their bedroom.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 2 or other relevant qualification (Desirable)
• Proven ability and experience in the safe administration of Medication (Essential)
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality (Essential)
• Experience in providing care (Essential)
