Job summary

Alderwood Care Home is seeking a Senior Carer for days to provide compassionate personal care to residents in a supportive, home-like environment. The role includes assisting residents with bathing, meals, mobility, and activities, while forming strong bonds with residents and families.

You’ll contribute to person-centered care plans and work within a team that values wellbeing, training, and professional growth. This role features day shifts, weekday patterns, and some weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• You will undertake formal supervisions of junior staff and must have experience of this
• You must be alert at all times to residents’ physical and mental well being
• You’ll need to understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health and Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the care Standards Act.

Responsibilities

• As our Senior Carer (Days), you’ll provide personal care to our residents, supporting them with bathing, eating, visiting the bathroom, and also getting around and enjoying our lovely home.
• You will act as a key worker for a number residents’ and build meaningful relationships with our residents and their families.
• You will participate in the formulation and maintenance of Individual electronic care plans and will have experience of this.
