Job summary

Ashbrook Court Care Home in Chelmsford is seeking a Care Assistant (Days) to provide personal care for residents and support daily living activities. The role runs 36 hours per week with days, Weekdays and alternate weekend shifts.

You will follow electronic care plans, assist residents with bathing, eating, and mobility, and help maintain a safe, clean home. Full training is provided and a supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required; full training provided.
  • Ability to follow care plans and documentation.
  • Patient and compassionate approach to resident welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing and meals.
  • Assist with mobility, bathing, eating, and daily routines.
  • Maintain records and follow medication administration as prescribed.

About the role

As our Care Assistant (Days), you’ll provide personal care to our residents, supporting them with bathing, eating, visiting the bathroom, and also getting around and enjoying our lovely home. Your warm, supportive, and caring nature will help you build meaningful relationships with our residents and you will get to know everything about their likes and dislikes as well as their needs. Here’s some other important things you need to know:

You’ll follow electronic care plans for each resident and administer medication as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both.

You must be alert at all times to our residents’ physical and mental well being

You will help maintain our high standards ensuring our residents’ home is always clean and safe
