Job summary

Bridgehouseabingdon is seeking a Weekend Activities Assistant at Ashbrook Court Care Home on Sewardstone Road. This role focuses on planning and delivering a variety of activities to residents and providing companionship.

You’ll work 16 hours per week, weekend shifts, with supportive team and comprehensive training. A caring nature and reliability are essential; no specific qualifications required as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• You must be alert to residents’ physical and mental well-being.
• Organise and accompany Residents to activities, some off-site and outside normal hours.
• Understand and implement Care Home Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise a variety of activities for residents to create a fun environment.
• Provide comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for residents unable to take part in activities.
• Support residents with wellbeing, safety, and engagement during activities.

About the role

As our Weekend Activities Assistant you will help plan and organise a whole variety of activities for our residents to create a fun and interesting environment for them. You will also offer comfort and company on a one-to-one basis for any residents unable to undertake the activities.

Here’s some other important things you need to know:

• You must be alert at all times to our residents’ physical and mental well being
• Organise and accompany Residents, where possible, to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place out of normal working hours
• Understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Homes Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
