Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm Senior Care Assistant for Birchmere Mews Care Home in Knowle, Solihull. You will work with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, welcoming environment.

You will monitor wellbeing, contribute to care planning, assist with medications, supervise staff, and be a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.

A DBS disclosure check will be funded by Avery, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in similar care environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude to supporting residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care to residents.
• Monitor wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals.
