Job summary

The Avery Healthcare Group is looking for a warm, dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join Birchmere Mews Care Home in Knowle, Solihull. You will help deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, compassionate, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key duties include monitoring wellbeing, contributing to person-centred care plans, assisting with medications, supervising colleagues, and being a trusted point of contact for residents and families.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Positive attitude toward supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans as needs change.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives and health professionals; escalate concerns.
