Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Birchmere House Care Home in Knowle, Solihull. Your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

No prior experience is required as we provide a thorough induction and training programme to build confidence. You will communicate effectively, be respectful, adaptable, and able to cover a range of tasks at short notice.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team.
• Assist residents in personal hygiene while maintaining dignity and independence.
• Recognise clinical risk areas and escalate identified risks promptly.
• Practice safe systems of work across tasks.
