Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Senior Care Assistant at Derby Heights Care Home in Littleover. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, compassionate, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 in care for care homes, have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar setting, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in care for care homes.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Positive, nurturing attitude and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support within a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Assist with personalised care planning, monitoring wellbeing, and maintaining records.
• Support residents with medication administration as required.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where needed.
• Act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals, escalating concerns or complaints as appropriate.
