Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Highcliffe Care Home in Sunderland. You will support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, open and inclusive environment.

Ideal candidates have an NVQ 3 in care (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar setting, with strong communication skills and a flexible approach to duties. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care for care homes (or equivalent).
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude toward supporting residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans accordingly.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health/social care professionals.
