Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Ashurst Mews Care Home in Moulton, Northampton. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The role requires an NVQ 3 in care for care homes, 2 years’ experience, and a commitment to compassionate, person-centred care. A DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Flexible and responsive to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needs change.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist with residents' medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development as needed.
• Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, visitors and health/social care professionals, escalating concerns as required.
