Job summary

HC-One is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to lead a team of care assistants across dementia, nursing, residential and specialist settings. You will plan and deliver personalised care, safeguarding residents' dignity and independence while closely involving families.

The role supports the registered nurse and care manager with medication and activities, requires NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it), and reflects a commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards it
• Senior care experience
• Enhanced DBS or PVG check
• Knowledge of dementia care preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised care that gives residents security, dignity and independence
• Lead a team of care assistants and maintain high standards of care
• Get to know residents and their families to shape personalised care plans
• Support residents with daily tasks, including mobility, mealtimes and end-of-life care

The core of the work is planning and delivering personalised care that protects residents' dignity and independence, with close involvement of their families. The post also assists the registered nurse and care manager with medication and with social and recreational activities. Fit depends on senior care experience and an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards one.
