Job summary

HC-One in Wales is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to plan and deliver personalised care, maintain dignity, and support residents’ independence. You will lead a small team of care assistants and work closely with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager.

You should have a dementia care background, strong record keeping, and a loving approach. Additional qualifications like NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care are preferred, and you will participate in ongoing learning with DBS/PVG checks as part

Responsibilities

Job description

A Senior Care Assistant post with HC-One, a care provider running dementia, nursing, residential and specialist homes. The role centres on planning personalised care for residents, leading a team of care assistants and giving medication alongside the Registered Nurse and Care Manager. What the job involves

• Plan and deliver personalised care that supports residents' security, dignity and independence

• Administer medication, assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager
• Support residents with daily tasks, including mobility, mealtimes and end-of-life care
• Provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities
• Build relationships with residents and their families, including by phone
• Maintain accurate care records
• Build strong working relationships with the wider team
• Recognise and report possible abuse, harm or neglect
