Job summary

The HC-One care home is seeking a senior leader to guide a team of care assistants across dementia, nursing, residential and specialist settings. You will plan personalised care, support residents with daily tasks and end-of-life care, assist with medications and activities, and keep accurate records.

This is a full-time 44-hour post that sets the standard for the wider team. You will hold NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, obtain an enhanced DBS or PVG check, and bring knowledge of dementia

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required.
• Senior care experience is essential.
• Enhanced DBS or PVG check is required.
• Knowledge of dementia care is an advantage.
• Willingness to progress to Level 3 in adult social care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised care for residents, ensuring dignity and independence.
• Lead a team of care assistants and maintain high standards of care.
• Support residents with daily tasks, mobility, eating and end-of-life care.
• Build relationships with residents and families, including by phone.
• Assist with administering medication under supervision.
• Provide stimulating activities to support physical and mental health.
• Maintain accurate care records and reporting.
• Collaborate with the wider care team for best outcomes.

Job description

It is a full-time, 44-hour post in which the holder helps set the standard for the wider care team. Applicants need an NVQ Level 3 in health and social care and an enhanced DBS or PVG check, and knowledge of dementia care is an advantage.

What the job involves

• Plan and deliver personalised care that supports residents' security, dignity and independence
• Lead a team of care assistants and maintain high standards of care
• Support residents with daily tasks, including mobility, eating and end-of-life care
• Build relationships with residents and their families, including by phone
• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with administering medication
• Provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities
• Maintain accurate care records
• Build strong working relationships with the wider care team
