Job summary

Avon Search is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant (Days) for a luxury retirement home in Poole, Dorset. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care and provide day-to-day leadership to the care team.

You will mentor junior staff, maintain care plans, promote dignity and independence, and ensure a warm, homely environment for residents. NVQ Health & Social Care is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a care team and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Avon Search is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care home located in the sought-after coastal area of Poole, Dorset.

Situated close to Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs, this spacious and welcoming care home enjoys beautiful harbour views and offers a warm, supportive environment where residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant (Days), you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of outstanding care while providing day-to-day leadership to the care team.

Working alongside colleagues, you will ensure residents receive compassionate, person-centred care while promoting their independence, wellbeing and quality of life. You will also provide guidance and support to junior members of the team, helping to maintain the highest standards of care throughout the home.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate care professional who enjoys supporting others and leading by example.

You will have:

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or an experienced Care Assistant ready to progress.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
• Experience supporting older people within a residential care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate and support colleagues.
• A caring, reliable and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care.
