Job summary

Healthcare Homes Group in Beccles, Suffolk, is seeking a caring Care Assistant to join The White House care home. You will work 36 hours per week on day shifts (8am-8pm) including every other weekend, delivering personal care, companionship and basic record-keeping to 31 residents.

You will receive a thorough induction and ongoing training through the Healthcare Homes Academy, with progression opportunities and benefits such as a pension, Employee Assistance Programme, Blue Light Card discounts

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care or willingness to learn.
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Located in the market town of Beccles in Suffolk, The White House is a beautiful period house with a number of elegant and airy reception rooms decorated to accentuate the building’s individual character. Providing residential and respite care for 31 residents, the home care team focus on kindness and compassion when meeting the needs of their residents.

What would a typical day look like?

Supporting individuals with personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.)

Providing companionship and offering social interaction

Maintaining accurate resident records

Administering prescribed medication and updating medication charts as applicable

Supporting and leading our existing care team
