Job summary

PSRSolutions is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our caring team on a permanent basis in the outskirts of Dumfries. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 8pm to 8am, delivering person-centred care and supporting residents with dignity and independence.

We offer a competitive hourly rate (£15.50 per hour, around £35,464 per annum) and flexible day/night options, plus opportunities for ongoing training and career progression in a friendly home environment.

Qualifications

• N/SVQ Level 3 or working towards.
• Medication training desirable (training can be provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, proactive approach with a genuine passion for care.
• Willingness to undertake a PVG check.
• Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship or visa switch available).

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to provide compassionate, person-centred care.
• Support and guide the care team to follow care plans and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and motivate junior staff to ensure service quality.
• Maintain resident dignity, independence and safety during night shifts.

A small, welcoming and well-established nursing home on the outskirts of Dumfries is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.

What we are looking for in a Senior Care Assistant:
