Job summary

PSR Solutions is recruiting a dedicated Care Assistant in Maybole, Scotland, to join a care home team on a permanent basis. You will deliver high-quality support to service users, helping maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing, under the guidance of the Home Manager and Senior staff.

Shifts cover days or nights, 22–44 hours per week, with 12-hour blocks on day (8am–8pm) or night (8pm–8am) shifts. A caring, reliable nature and strong communication are essential; eligibility to work in the

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy and committed to providing high-quality support.
• Previous experience working in a care or support setting is preferred.
• Care Certificate/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Full eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship or visa switch available).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to service users, helping them maintain dignity, independence and quality of life.
• Work closely with the Home Manager, Deputy Manager and Senior Carers to support service operations.
• Support service users with daily activities and personal care as needed.

A care home on the outskirts of Ayr in Maybole is currently recruiting an experienced Care Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Details of this Care Assistant vacancy:

• Permanent contract working 22–44 hours per week
• Day or night shifts available
• 12-hour shifts:
  • Day shifts: 8am–8pm
  • Night shifts: 8pm–8am
• Competitive pay of £13.45 per hour
• Potential to earn up to £30,773.60 per annum

As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to service users, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life. You will also work closely with the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Carers to support the smooth running of the service.

What we are looking for in a Care Assistant:

• Previous experience working in a care or support setting is preferred
