Ashmere Care Homes is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for the West Hallam care home in Derbyshire. The role involves leading shifts, administering and recording medications, and supporting residents with personal care and mealtimes.
You will liaise with Home Manager, GPs, and nurses, and progress with NVQ Level 3 (or higher). The role includes a benefits package and ongoing training opportunities.

We’re looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals who go the extra mile for our residents. We currently have a vacancy at out West Hallam Care Home working 35 hours hours a week over 5 shifts!
As a Senior Care Assistant at Ashmere Care Homes, you’ll play a key leadership role within our friendly care team, ensuring residents receive the best possible support and that each shift runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll lead by example, showing compassion, respect, and dedication in everything you do.
Your main duties will include leading and supporting care staff, administering and recording medication, assisting residents with personal care and mealtimes, communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, and liaising with the Home Manager, GPs, and nurses.
We’re looking for someone with an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it), with previous experience running shifts and administering medication. However, we can support you with this should you be successful in gaining a role with us.
