Job description

Do you have experience of running shifts? Do you have experience in administering medication?

We are looking for people who are passionate about providing an outstanding level of care and going the extra mile for our residents. We currently have a vacancy at Smalley Hall Care home for full-time or part-time hours a week!

As a Senior Care Assistant with Ashmere, you will be communicating effectively and professionally with the residents, colleagues, relatives, and visitors at all times. You will show compassion towards our residents and ensure that their needs are met. You will assist with personal care and assist with meal times when needed.

The ideal candidate must be flexible in working all shifts.

You will be responsible for staff allocation, administering medication, liaising with the home manager, GP’s, nurses, and other outside professionals which can all make for a busy shift!

You will need an NVQ3 or be working towards completing it. However, we can support you with this should you be successful in gaining a role with us.

Working for an established care provider like Ashmere, you start your journey with us by attending our monthly new starter company induction with all new joiners from all of our homes. We will provide you with uniform, pay for your DBS check, provide you with regular training, and maybe even spoil you with cake from time to time!

Benefits include:

  • Annual Ashmere Awards Ceremony
  • Welcome aboard bonus
  • Discretionary Attendance Bonus
  • Refer a Friend Scheme
  • Pension
  • Ongoing Training and Development
  • Staff Incentives
  • Growth and career progression
