Job summary

Pottersway House Care Home in Church Lawton, near Alsager, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts on a 33-hour week. You will guide a care team, oversee medication, monitor wellbeing, and ensure high-quality, person-centered care for residents.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a caring, professional approach. DBS paid, pension, uniform provided, and a 5.6 weeks annual leave entitlement are offered. Alternate weekends apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Our new, luxury care home is nestled in the charming village of Church Lawton, near Alsager. We provide exceptional standards of Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care for 60-residents.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £13.71 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
