Job summary

The Willows Care Home in Hinckley is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support a care team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care for residents. You will oversee shifts, ensure safe, organised care, and support families and clinicians with clear communication.

Role requires SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) with Level 3 desirable, and competency in medication administration. DBS/pension and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) with Level 3 desirable.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Days & Night flexibility required
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
