Job summary

The Willows Care Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Head Housekeeper. You will lead the housekeeping team, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment, with a strong focus on hygiene, infection control and presentation.

This role is contracted to 32 hours per week at £13.85–£14.20 per hour, with flexibility across 7 days and 5.6 weeks annual leave. We offer development opportunities and a supportive, people-first workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team to ensure high hygiene and presentation standards.

You will lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing the cleaning of residents' rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures. Working closely with other departments, you will ensure a well organised and responsive service. You will monitor quality, manage supplies and support your team through training, guidance and leadership, creating a positive and high performing environment.
