Job summary

Lime Trees Care Home in Sutton, Greater London, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a shift and deliver high quality, person-centred care to residents. You will oversee medication, monitor wellbeing and maintain records, ensuring clear communication with families and health professionals to secure continuity of care.

The role involves working a 3x on / 3x off rota over a seven day week, with a contracted 38.5 hours per week and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Contract Details

• £14.35 - £14.95 per hour
• Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
• Working a 3x on & 3x off rota over a seven day week

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents' wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate. You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For
