Overview

Senior Care Assistant - Hill House, Elstree Hill South, Elstree, Borehamwood WD6 3DE. CQC rating: Good. Salary £12.95 - £14.52 per hour depending on experience. Permanent, Full Time, 44 hours, Days/Nights.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a unit day-to-day and supervise a team of Care Assistants, including shift handovers.
  • Support with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, administer medication, review care plans and maintain accurate records.
  • Train and supervise new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported.
  • Build relationships with residents, their families and external teams (GPs, District Nurses).
  • Assist residents with a range of personal care duties.
Qualifications and skills
  • NVQ3 in care (completed or currently working towards); we can support you to complete the qualification if needed.
  • Motivated, positive with excellent interpersonal skills; able to work in a close-knit team and run a unit with the Nurse to aid clinical duties.
  • Previous experience in the role and understanding of its rewards and challenges; passion for making a real difference with kindness, personalised support and dignity.
