Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a Senior Support Worker for a care home in the Brooke, Norwich area. The role is a permanent full-time position, 36 hours per week on day shifts. You will provide high-quality resident care and support, including medication administration, under a structured care plan and supervision framework.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and demonstrate strong communication skills, teamwork, and a genuine desire to care for others.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Recognise and respond to daily needs of residents.
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.

• Update and write care plans and resident documentation.
• Make and report realistic assessments for continuity of care.
• Administer medication according to policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

As a Senior Support Worker Your Key Responsibilities Include

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• A good team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Have a genuine desire to care for others

Benefits

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of GBP16.00 per hour and the annual salary is GBP29,952 per annum.
