Job summary

Maples Care Home in Bexleyheath, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide and support a care team, delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

You will oversee your shift, ensure care is well organised and delivered to a high standard, supervise medication, monitor wellbeing and respond to changes, while maintaining accurate care records and liaising with families and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

Job description

Maples Care Home is a purpose-built nursing home in Bexleyheath, set over three floors and designed to combine modern facilities with a warm, homely atmosphere. The home offers 75 spacious ensuite bedrooms where residents are encouraged to personalise their space, creating a comfortable and supportive environment.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• £14.31 per hour
• Contracted to 46 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
