Job summary

Glebe House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide a care team and deliver safe, person-centred care for residents in Ayrshire. You will oversee shifts, manage medication administration, and maintain accurate records with families and healthcare professionals.

The role offers pay up to £14.50 per hour, part-time hours up to 33.25 per week, PVG clearance paid, pension, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time contract).

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Guide and support your team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care
• Take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised and delivered to a high standard

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Up to £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to up to 33.25 hours per week

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
