University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia to join the established Anaesthetic Department at Glenfield. The post covers high-risk anaesthesia, preoperative assessment, and perioperative care, with expansion plans for MDT clinics and POA projects.

The role includes leadership, teaching, research involvement, and participation in governance, audit, and quality improvement activities within a supportive Trust.

Formación

• Fully trained in Anaesthesia.
• GBMC registration is required.
• TOE exam and ALS certification required.
• Experience leading teams and teaching juniors.
• Commitment to CPD and audit.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe and efficient anaesthetic service for elective and emergency care.
• Specialist high-risk anaesthesia outpatient clinic work.
• Participate in the Consultant Anaesthetist non-resident on-call rota.
• Support the Perioperative Medicine Service.
• Work flexibly to cover colleagues' leave and reconfiguration towards single-site maternity service.
• Engage in service development, governance, and CPD.
