Job summary

KIMS Hospital is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiorespiratory team. The role focuses on clinical leadership, echocardiography to BSE standards, and supporting inpatient, outpatient and interventional services.

You will work alongside the Lead Physiologist and Consultant Cardiologists, planning staffing, governance and quality improvements while developing the team through training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent as a trained Physiologist.
• Post-registration echocardiography experience to BSE standards.
• Evidence of governing and CPD activities.
• Experience with ETT/TILT, stress echo, Holter or BP monitoring analysis.
• Experience of change or productivity management.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care and clinical leadership across Cardiorespiratory services.
• Work with the Lead Physiologist and Consultant Cardiologists on day-to-day service delivery.
• Undertake and support cardiac investigations, including echocardiography to BSE standards.
• Contribute to inpatient, outpatient and cardiac interventional services.
• Support workforce planning and staff allocation by patient need and activity.
• Support pacing, angiography, PCI and electrophysiological studies.
• Champion governance, quality and patient safety, including regulatory compliance.
• Lead clinical audit and infection prevention; contribute to policy development.
• Support team training and professional development.
• Contribute to innovation and change management.
