Job summary
KIMS Hospital in Maidstone is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to lead the Cardiorespiratory team and deliver high-quality echocardiography and interventional support. The role involves working with consultants to develop inpatient, outpatient, and interventional services, while promoting best practice and governance.
The ideal candidate will have substantial echocardiography experience to BSE standards, a degree-level physiologist qualification, and proven leadership in a clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification as a trained Physiologist.
- Extensive post-registration experience performing echocardiograms to BSE standards.
- Experience in cardiac catheter laboratory including pacing, angiography, PCI and electrophysiological studies.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership in Cardiorespiratory services with the Lead Physiologist and Consultants.
- Undertake and support cardiac investigations including echocardiography to BSE standards.
- Support workforce planning and service delivery, allocating staff to patient need and activity.
- Champion clinical governance, quality and patient safety, and contribute to policy development.
